Joseph Kerscher's abstractions create new rooms, figures and symbols that go beyond the ostensible entity of the taken motives. He develops a self-sustaining language of forms which produces archaic and symbolic images of a surrealistic character.

Joseph Kerscher was born near Munich in 1961 and has lived in Berlin since 1981. He studied by Shimon Atti and Dieter Appelt at Berlin’s Universität der Künste and is a photographer. He is in Germany represented by Galerie Tammen, Berlin.
