Artists Information

Roger Frank’s works are often interventions that are created in situ. Objects are arranged for a specific place and allude to processes of perception and consciousness that can only play out correctly at this specific location. These installations are intended to act as dual catalysts: they represent options in processes of experience for the artist and the spectator. Visitors are released from the role of simple observer or spectator, and thereby also redefine the role of the artist. A further set of works by Roger Frank is his comic-book-style paintings and plays on words on coloured plastic foam and canvas.

Roger Frank, born in Freiburg in 1962, has lived and worked in Berlin since 1981.
