Philip Grözinger paints coloured stories on canvas using a coarse-textured brush, works with prints and creates video installations. Many of his works show an array of demonic figures which, despite their childlike poses, unsettle the spectator and beckon him down dark pathways.

Philip Grözinger, born in Braunschweig in 1968, studied at Braunschweig’s Hochschule für Bildende Künste and was a master’s student under Carl-Christof Schulz in 1998. He has lived and worked in Berlin and Copenhagen since 1993.
